Brand Development in Los Angeles
Serious brand development starts with a position that the whole company can repeat. Ty Bowers Design is where I run that work, across Los Angeles and San Francisco. Owners come to brand development when the company has outgrown its first story. Access runs straight to me, with no account layer in between.

Impact Brand Development Has on a Growing Company
Companies hit a ceiling when brand development lags behind the product line. Distributors judge a lineup by whether it actually looks like one family. Recruiting gets easier when candidates can describe the company before their interview. Margins hold better when a brand is chosen rather than compared on price. Line extensions launch faster because the framework already exists. Boards read a coherent brand as evidence of an operating discipline.

Stages a Brand Development Program Moves Through
Discovery, positioning, system, and rollout are the four stages of brand development. Middle stages carry most of the work:
-
Deciding what the company claims and who it sells to, through consumer product branding.
-
Systems get drawn next through visual identity design services, covering type, color, and layout rules.
-
Journeys follow in my role as a customer experience design consultant, mapping every point of contact.
Sequencing matters, because a system drawn before the position is settled gets redrawn. Each stage ends with something usable, never with a document nobody reads. Documentation follows each stage so a team can run the system without me.

Advantages of One Senior Partner on the Program
Long brand development programs lose time at handoffs, and there are none here. Delivery stays inside my boutique branding agency, from the first workshop to the final files. Senior judgment applies to the small decisions too, which is where programs usually drift. Fashion, food, and beverage experience informs every recommendation I make. Answers arrive in days, which keeps a long program from stalling. Changes to scope get discussed openly rather than absorbed silently into a schedule. Direct contact removes the translation losses that come with an account team.

Get Senior Brand Guidance
Fresh categories, wider markets, and a growing range all call for brand development. Sometimes the answer is narrower, and a brand identity refresh handles it alone. Process detail appears in my approach, so nothing about the sequence comes as a surprise. Phases keep a long program reviewable, with a decision point at the end of each. Multi-SKU programs take longer than a single package, and the calendar reflects that. Los Angeles and San Francisco are both an hour away, so meetings stay in person. Talk through the range with me first, and get senior brand guidance before the next line launches.
